Compiz Fusion on Ubuntu

Recommended Posts

Open the Synaptic Package Manager (System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager):

Use the Search function and search for compiz

Items to mark for installation:

1. compiz-config-settings-manager

2. gnome-compiz-manager

3. emerald

Mark any dependencies for installation

Click the Apply button

Click the Apply button

To modify your compiz fusion settings go to

System > Preferences > Appearance

Then click Visual Effects and use "Custom"

To make Emerald your default Theme manager

open System > Preferences > Sessions

Add a session by clicking Add

Name: Emerald

Command: emerald --replace

Comment: Emerald

Click OK

Logout and then log back in to see the changes.
