Ok, I am looking at getting a new monitor in the next month or so (depends on when I go to Australia). I definitely want to go bigger and I am looking at widescreen. What do you think of this one:

Nice looking monitor but, I personally have a problem buying ACER.

I hear the ACER name, I think inexpensive equipment!

At that kind of price you cant find a Samsung SyncMaster or something else, maybe even a Dell?

I like the samsung or sharp monitors better than acer. Remember ... sharp manus a ton of the lcds that other companies use.

Sharps are definitely Nice, Sharp lookin too!

IMHO....Sharp, Samsung, Dell and then everything else!

I've installed several Acer's into customers homes and they all work well. I am still looking at the others as well.

Been looking into it more and so far Dell leads the pack. For price and performance, this model ranks right near the top of every list. I was hoping to go 26", but can't find one I like for under $1000.

I love my Dell 20.1" Widescreens, best dual setup I've ever had.

This is the 24", for more go to www.techbargains.com and hit the search for Dell.

Edit: Just clicked your link and its the same one. For a little more $$ you could get 2 20.1"ers.

Yeah, I thought about that, but when I measured my space I can't fit them. I have a rolltop desk.

Thats nice man. I'm gonna wait until I move to really expand. I'm gonna stick to the 24/26 right now, then when I move I'm gonna get rid of this rolltop and get a normal desk. Then it will be time to get the 42" Plasma.

I have decided on getting 2 of these... http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDeta...=151153&c=1 Everything I have read has lead me to believe they are the best 20 widescreens you can get. I plan on getting them from a local store and paying a tad more to avoid any difficulties should I get a unit with some dead pixels, or should they just not fit my fancy.

SWEET!

I like that they have a TV Tuner built in!

(the D-word) you can watch TV and Play on the computer at the same time!

One of my favorite pass times! :D
