Microsoft sacks Longhorn server

Recommended Posts

On November 12, 2002, Microsoft announced that the next version of Windows, code-named Longhorn, will be a client-only release. The next server version will be based on "Blackcomb," the follow-on to Longhorn.

I am anxious to see what this will look like. I wonder if it will follow the path of XP and add more fluff, thus creating the need for ever-more powerful systems to handle it.
