Junior
It fiannly kick the bucket... sometimes I am greeted by a nice clicking sound.... other times it will start to boot and Hault in the middle of the boot sequence.. I used Maxtor's Maxblast utilities (before today, when I noticed a problem) and it said it was fine. I zeroed the drive (low level format) formatted the MBR and reset the Bios... only to find out it was the drive and not the Bios.... I noticed the problem after i had installed Xp one time, then after trying to install XP again it would not format the Drive ntfs... or it would have errors during the file copy... I'm pissed... ohh well I'm picking up a new HD this week... but I don't have broadband till I get my system up and running again... not to mention all the data I will lose.... :x

PC-HAngover
Well my old 20GB Seagate didn't die on me, but it had some huge driver conflict and screwed everything up. I had to reformat it. Sooo.. I bought a 120GB WD SE HDD, you gotta love never having to worry about space.
Bruceleeon
yeah... i remember saying that when i got a 250mb hdd. I was a god... now you can't even load an os on a 250.

You could still install a small linux distro to a harddrive like that. Heck some linux distro's can install onto a floppy -- they use these for cheap firewalls etc.

That is the truth. When I got my 1.2 gig, replaced a 130 meg, I thought I would never fill it up. Didn't take to long for that to happen.
