SAMSAMHA
Hi, I have asus's k8v se deluxe edition mobo. I have problem with the network after it resumes from standby. The network will disconnected after like few minutes of uses. The problem occurs when I put the computer on standby then resume from it. ONly way to fix it is to restart the computer. Can someone please help me to solve it, thanks
Rbreb13
Don't use standby! Windows usually wakes up stupid! Just set your power options to turn off the monitor/hard drives for when you want. One of the first things I do after a fresh install is disable standby and the even more useless hibernation. Bruceleeon
I have had all kinds of problems with standby on laptops and desktops; from problems like yours to continuously hibernating lcd screens. Take RB's advice and disable it.
SAMSAMHA
mmh, really. Well, this is the first time that the network really cause me problem. I used to own just intel's board, so no major problem at all. Now with Asus's board and Via's chip, I have encounter few problems. For the most part, it works fine but it's so annyoing, I was hoping to save some energy bill by putting it on standby. As far as notebook, my standby or hibernation works fine. custompccases
He was saying that it’s more of a hit or miss kind of thing. I have computers that will work flawlessly with hibernation and others that won’t. More often though I run into problems with hibernation. Hibernation problems can stem from a lot of things including software/drivers. Try updating your motherboard drivers and see if that helps. SAMSAMHA
oh, thanks. Well, my hibernation just always works fine, that's why i don't really know that it's a hit or miss. I will update the drivers (though I did update most, if not all, of them already). Anyhow, thanks for the reply. If anyone got any idea, feel free to help.
