MikeR210 0
Ok, here's a sneak peak at the Leagues coming soon to Castle Siege. http://www.ageofempires.com/news/2015/12/23/castle-siege-leagues-preview/ Hello Siegers, As some of you already know, we have an exciting new feature coming Castle Siege in the New Year! Leagues will bring an additional level of competition to the game for our talented players, allowing you to easily rank yourself against others without having to be in the top 200, and rewarding those players and alliances at the top of their smaller league pools. There are many more details to come, but we couldn’t resist sharing a quick preview of what to expect in the new update! First and foremost, you will see two new leaderboards in addition to the current leaderboard that shows the top 200 players and alliances in the game. One leaderboard will display the league you’re competing in as a player, and another shows the league your alliance is in. We are launching the feature with 8 leagues, with the ability grow beyond that if needed. Which league you’re in is determined by your number of crowns. You can see the crown totals required for each league on the League Levels screen. An individual player may be in a different league than their alliance, depending on crown totals. (For example, you might be in the Villager league even though your alliance is in the Knight league.) Each league will be further divided into separate pools. This means that, even if you have the same amount of crowns as another player in the same league, you might be placed in different pools within that league, and the two of you wouldn’t see each other in the competition. Again, more details are on their way soon! And now, as chosen by our players, the league names are as follows. (Drumroll please…) League Names (Lowest to Highest): Peasant Villager Squire Knight Champion Noble Lord Duke How will leagues work? Each player—and each alliance—will be arranged into a league based on their total number of crowns at the beginning of the season. A season lasts 4 weeks, and a new season begins directly after the end of the last. Alliance crown totals during a season: If you join an alliance AFTER a season has started, your crowns will not be counted in the alliance leaderboard until the next season starts. In order for crowns to count, you must be in an alliance prior to the beginning of the season. If you leave an alliance during a season, your crowns will be excluded from that season. Your crowns will not count if you leave an alliance and come back. Leagues will NOT affect matchmaking. which is still calculated based on power level. To clarify: A player’s standing in their League and on the Leaderboard is based on crowns. A player’s matchmaking during battle is based on power level. Rewards: At the end of each season, awards will be given out to the top three players/alliances in each bucket! We will have more details about this as we get closer to the release date for the patch. Replay of the Season: We will be doing a “Replay of the Season” video at the end of every season to showcase amazing battles and wins! More news on this in the next post. Let us know in the forum thread below what you’re most looking forward to, and stay tuned to the blog for more information!
MikeR210 0
Discussion going on in the Age of Empires: Castle Siege forum. Here's an important bit of info from the SGI Community Manager regarding these Leagues coming soon....someone asked "If its all based on power level, suppose we have Alliance"A" with all Keep 9 matched against Alliance "B" with all Keep 7. Supposing"A" is maxed up...." If you are in the same pool, in the same league then this is who you will be competing against. Leagues is based on crowns. Matchmaking in battles is based on power level. A lot can change in a season- especially since players who leave will change crown count, and new players don't count in the season. urmommatoo 0
Mike - any discussion on the forums about crown dumping to be in the lower leagues but with higher power levels? Is it worth it?
