Rbreb13
Introduction For those of you that read my review of Geil's PC3500 you already know how I feel about the importance of using quality RAM. For the rest of you I don't care how good your motherboard, processor or cooling is your not going to be able to overclock much or maybe not even at all if you buy the generic cheap stuff. Only with the name brand stuff will you be able to get the kind of performance your looking for. So, know you may be asking yourself which brand of RAM will give you the best bang. Well today we look at three of the most talked about brands of memory out there and by the time you finish this article you might have an idea of which one will help you get those kick ass 3DMark2001 scores you crave. jsgolfman
I was surprised at the results. I, too, expected the Xtreme to outperform the other two. Geil looked very impressive. One thing I would have liked to see was relative cost. Thx, Rb.
Bruceleeon
well, i guess this just strengthens my first decision of corsair for the new system. God I have good taste...LOL

Bruceleeon
I have always liked Corsair - Just could never afford it
Doggie Fizzle
I have a 512MB PC3200 Dual DDR Kit from Geil... I was surprised to see it hit 480MHz DDR... It may do more if I tweaked the settings away from the default 6-3-3... All I did was add some Vmem and drop the latency from 2.0 to 2.

[COD]1HellUVAShot
Well I got screwed when I purchased my 512mb of Samsung pc3200 advertised as cas2.5 turned out to be cas3. Oh well runs great and of course it is very stable but can't OC very much. 1 Gig Cas2 before long though. Has anyone tried the new Kingston cas2 ram, and if so how does it compare to Corsair?
