I haven't had any experience with either the 2600 or the ECS, but pushing it to 2.4 at 37C is possible. The stock hsf AMD is now shipping with their cpu's is much better than their old ones and the Bartons rock. Do you have any more details such as core voltage, hsf, psu, etc?

2.4 seems a bit high for me... It can be done... but there are some things i would like to know. Such as, fsb, voltage, things like that. besides... the 2600 is not a barton is it?

Could be. Anything is possible. But a lot of people claim outrageous overclocks. But neglect to tell you that its not stable at that speed.

37c might be his idle speed temp also.
