Rbreb13
Computer Associates? is offering their AV software free for 12 months. Not a bad deal. If you're not running an Anti Virus program well..........your stupid.

jsgolfman
Uh, yeah, ya might want to rethink that position. It's just too easy to obtain free AV now days. If you don't want to dl any you can always go to Penguin and use their free web service. It's not as good as one you install, but it's better than nothing. [COD]1HellUVAShot
Guys I remove viruses daily, I prob have virus fix for every virus ever discovered. And considering the fact that I never dwnload anything that I am not sure of the chances of me getting infected are slim to none. I have never had a virus yet on my PC. Ok now who's gonna send me one, I don't trust you guys.

Rbreb13
Well, you're obviously more careful than most users. So it should work for you. I'm just more careful and figure its available so why not use it. I'm kinda a belt and suspenders type with an extra belt. Use a hardware and software firewall and AV! jsgolfman
I copy that. Hey, an ounce of prevention and all that. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
Rbreb13
It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Thats what I tell peeps when they ask me why I carry a handgun. I have a carry license here. Better to be judged by 12 than buried by 6. [COD]1HellUVAShot
I do use F-prot for DOS to occasionally scan my HDD for virus or destructive programs. It isn't antivirus software though it is just a virus removal program, but it works great. It is what I use to remove viruses from my customers' computers. The only time it is a pain is on NTFS partitioned HDD's. Then you have to load NTFS DOS first and then run the program.
