jsgolfman
This is a program that I found over at System Cooling. It's similar to folding and seti, but I like the visualizations better. You can watch the earth spinning around with clouds. It does what the title says, it is used for predicting climates/weather. Very simple to download/install and runs in the background. You can run it as a service or stand alone. It does take a considerable amount of time to complete one unit, weeks most likely. The thing I like about it best so far, aside from the pretty picture:), is that it doesn't seem to affect my PC performance one bit. I can surf or do anything else without taking a hit even though it shows 100% cpu utilization. Climate Prediction
Rbreb13
Yeah its a cool deal. I have it running on a separate system, pretty much by itself. Looks like 8 days per phase for me!
jsgolfman
I wish 8 days. Looks like 6 weeks for me. I was checking the system specs on some of the others and I am the only one running anything under 1.7. Of course, I don't have another system to run it exclusively so i turn it on and off.
