Rbreb13
Unlocking an Athlon XP or any CPU can be a daunting task at best. I have unlocked a few and have not always been successful on the first try by any means. Sometimes its taken as many as 4 tries. I personally prefer the Super Glue/Micro-Conductive Pen as this way has worked the best for me in the past. Below are some links to many different unlocking Guides and How-to's. JimBowy
I'll stick with the unlocking kit. It's a pretty good price, it works, and it's relatively simple to do. Who wants to solder or anything *shivers*.
PC-HAngover
I always love taking risks.. I will solder pretty much anything, including my own arm! OUCH The smell of burning flesh really wakes you up! But unlocking kits are great. Its not permenant or anything!
mAnChO
I like to think of myself of as a pretty good solderer, because of my past R/C car infatuation. But anytime I take anything remotely harmfull near my computer such as a screwdriver I get nervous more or less a soldering gun. Ill stick with Jimbowy on the kits. Now any moron can unlock with not much trouble. Well except the ones that can't mount a heatsink.
