Bruceleeon
I have been looking into those for a while... if i were going to do this... I would try it on some cheap ram first being that you have to use an adhesive to put it on.. correct?
Rbreb13
It comes with frag tape. No adhesive needed. I use 'em and they seem to work well.
Bruceleeon
have you been able to tell a difference with or without them?
Rbreb13
have you been able to tell a difference with or without them?Yeah, I can achieve a few more mhz out of my Overclocks with the memory running cooler. Also can use more aggresive timings at the same speeds as slower timings without the cooling! A study in the Washington Post says that women have better verbal skills than men. I just want to say to the authors of that study Huh?
Bruceleeon
Yeah, I can achieve a few more mhz out of my Overclocks with the memory running cooler. I just really don't want anymore fans in my system.. too many as it is.. but it will be worth a shot... i can get them anodized black for the next system
jsgolfman
I forgot to adjust the timings last night. I will have to do that this weekend and see what I can get in oc. Running slowest right now(2.5,3, etc.). Let's try 2,2,2 see what happens.
Bruceleeon
well with the new system i am getting the heat spreaders.. in black anodized. That will be sweet
jsgolfman
If you check out my review of Akasa stuff at you know where, you can see how much they helped me, the passive ones anyway. I might be willing to invest in the active ones. Rb, have you tried to remove them? I was wondering if there was any problem with the pads. Bruceleeon
just mod a bracket for a 60cfm 60mm delta... that would keep your mem cool... ehhehe
jsgolfman
Another Delta? I couldn't take it.

Bruceleeon
when i get my corsair for the new system, it comes with a heat spreader, and I am going to mod a mounting bracket for a 60mm fan to actively cool them.
Bruceleeon
I just found the fan I am going to use.... Thermaltake: 38CFM 60mm 7000rpm I think that should cool it nicely
