  2. Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)

    Requirement:
Windows XP up to Windows 10 Fall Creator update 1709 (16299.xx) (anything higher is at your own risk) NVIDIA, AMD, Intel GPUs Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 or higher Recommended usage:
You should disconnect your internet or block Windows Updates. DDU should be used when having a problem uninstalling/installing a driver or when switching GPU brand. DDU should not be used every time you install a new driver unless you know what you are doing. The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best. If you are using DDU in normal mode, Clean, reboot, clean again, reboot. Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe). It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues. 5. AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher

AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher modifies the AMD/ATI video driver to allow higher resolutions and refresh rates by removing the 165 MHz pixel clock limit for single-link DVI and HDMI, the 330 MHz limit for dual-link DVI, and the 400 MHz limit for VGA.
    Requirements:
Windows Vista or later 5000-series GPU or newer CrossFire requirements: R9 285/290/290X/295X2 and newer cards can handle higher pixel clocks without CrossFire bridges. Older cards require two CrossFire bridges if the pixel clock is greater than 300 MHz. This is only possible with cards that have two connectors. It will not work properly with more than two cards. Dual-GPU cards such as the 7990 will not work properly at higher pixel clocks. Compatibility:
Version 1.4.6 is compatible with Catalyst 11.9 to Crimson 17.12.2. It can be used with future versions if it finds the limits you need. Getting started:
Run atikmdag-patcher.exe. (If you only need the BIOS signature patch, rename it to atikmdag-patcher-bios.exe first.) If all limits are found, click "Yes" to patch and sign. If a limit is not found or if multiple matches are found, the patcher needs to be updated. Reboot. You can then add higher refresh rates using Custom Resolution Utility (CRU).
To restore the unpatched driver, run the patcher again and click "Yes" to restore from backup.
Unpatching is not required before upgrading drivers. Simply run the patcher again after installing the new driver.
    Known issues:
Legacy drivers may have issues with HDCP and video acceleration with the patch. Workarounds for video playback issues with legacy drivers: Disable hardware acceleration in the Flash Player settings (right-click on any Flash video and click "Settings..."). Use the Codec Tweak Tool to disable DXVA hardware acceleration under "Various Tweaks" (in the "Miscellaneous" section). AMD/ATI cards have a design limitation unrelated to the patch that causes video acceleration to scramble the screen if the vertical blanking/total is below standard with the video card's memory overclocked or with multiple monitors connected. Skype is known to trigger this problem. Either don't overclock the video card's memory, or use the "LCD standard" vertical blanking/total in CRU. AMD/ATI cards require the "LCD standard" vertical blanking/total to reduce the memory clock when idle. Horizontal values can still be reduced if necessary. Recent changes:
1.4.6: Find new HDMI-DVI limit. 1.4.5: Updated for 17.4.1. Find new DP-DVI/HDMI limit. 1.4.4: Find BIOS signature check. 1.4.3: Fixed HBlank limit for 16.12.1. 1.4.2: Find 56 horizontal blanking (HBlank) limit. 1.4.1: Fixed an issue that prevented the driver from loading correctly with earlier versions of Windows 10. This does not affect the anniversary update. 1.4.0: Updated for 16.9.1. Changed the way the driver is located and patched. Replaced 640x480 limit with low-resolution limit. Fixed VGA limit for 32-bit. 1.3.6: Find 10-resolution limit for Radeon Settings. 1.3.5: Updated for 15.11 Crimson. Find 640x480 limit for Radeon Settings. 1.3.4: Try to improve finding DVI/HDMI limit for newer drivers. Removed blue screen workaround for 14.6/14.7. 1.3.3: Updated for 15.3. 19. MP3Test

We, at computingondemand.com, had been looking for a way to benchmark a NAS in a repeatable form without the need to buy additional software.  For us, we had been performing a test in our NAS reviews that benchmarks the speed at which you can transfer a large number of MP3s with consistent file sizes to and from a NAS.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:  First, extract the zip (located below) file to c:\mp3test.  After that, all you have to do is execute the StartTest shortcut in the c:\mp3testfolder by right clicking it and choosing “Run as Administrator“.  Please note that this batch file uses the command for robocopy and fsutil.  Windows 7 should have these by default.  If you are running Windows XP and do not have robocopy, you need to download the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit (directly from Microsoft).
The batch file requires admin authentication to use the fsutil command.  This command creates 200 MP3 Files.  You will be prompted by Windows to allow this application to execute with these privileges. The script will try to find files that may already exist within the C:\mp3testfolder and remove them.
Once you are ready to proceed, just press any button on your keyboard. The benchmark will then create 200 MP3 Files (non playable) in repeatable sizes
Next, the application will ask you 3 very specific and important questions:
The hostname or IP of your NAS (example answer would be : SERVER) The Shared folder on the NAS to run the test from (example answer would be: documents) How many times you want the test to loop (example answer would be: 10) This will create a path for robocopy of \\SERVER\Documents\mp3test\
The application will then run through the test, looping for as many times as requested.  Once completed, it will create a .CSV file with the results in MB/m form as reported by robocopy.  At the bottom of this document, it will calculate the average result for each test in “To NAS” and “From NAS” and then divide it by the number 60 (for seconds in a minute) to calculate the results in the form of MB/s.

Just to note, the above results were generated using a file size or 50,050 bytes for the purposes of this tutorial.
Thinking about it, if documented properly, you can use these results to benchmark LAN and WIFI speeds on your network or to calculate your network adapter’s performance.
If you find this useful, please drop us a line in the comment section below.  If you find a way to make this better please let us know.

  20. Avatartest

We, at computingondemand.com, had been looking for a way to benchmark a NAS in a repeatable form without the need to buy additional software.  For us, we had been performing a test in our NAS reviews that benchmarks the speed at which you can transfer the Avatar ISO to and from a NAS.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:  First, extract the zip (located below) file to c:\avatartest.  After that, all you have to do is execute the StartTest shortcut in the c:\avatartest folder by right clicking it and choosing “Run as Administrator“.
This command creates the Avatar ISO file at 46.6GB (50,050,629,632 bytes).  You will be prompted by Windows to allow this application to execute with these privileges. The script will try to find files that may already exist within the C:\avatartest folder and remove them.
Once you are ready to proceed, just press any button on your keyboard. The benchmark will then create a file avatar.iso that is exactly 50,050,629,632 in size (or 46.6GB), the same size as the original Avatar ISO that was used in our benchmarking.
Next, the application will ask you 3 very specific and important questions:
The hostname or IP of your NAS (example answer would be : SERVER) The Shared folder on the NAS to run the test from (example answer would be: documents) How many times you want the test to loop (example answer would be: 10) This will create a path for robocopy of \\SERVER\Documents\avatartest\

  23. HDHR Viewer

This plug-in was created for personal usage stream from HDHomeRun PRIME to Roku 3. This allows up to 3 TV streams to be viewed by 3 different clients simultaneously. Due to Plex limitations with live streams, I  wouldn't recommend buying a HDHomeRun device solely to run with Plex and this Plug In. This plug-in should work with DLNA-enabled HDHomeRun (PRIME, PLUS, DUAL Gen 4).

  25. XBMCLauncher

    What XBMCLauncher can do?
Start XBMC automatically when Windows starts. Or set XBMC to boot directly without loading the Windows explorer and desktop by changing the shell. iMONonXBMC users should not change the shell as explorer is needed for iMONonXBMC to work correctly. Keep XBMC on focus so that no other application can steal the focus of your remote control presses. Creates a System Tray icon for XBMCLauncher from which you can configure its functions. Set the time for focus check. Temporarily disable the focus by using Win+F9 shortcut. Change the Shutdown menu of XBMC to set Shutdown, Sleep or Hibernate the system. When resumed from Sleep and Hibernation, XBMC is started again. Start Windows desktop when you press Exit button of XBMC if you changed the shell to xbmc. Handle MCE Remote control Green Start Button to start XBMC Start XBMConIMON and IMON manager automatically for those with IMON products. Option to manually specify the path of XBMC, XBMConIMON and IMON manager Paths are automatically selected without any user interaction. Customized installation. Select only the components you need. All replaced files are backed up so that your system is returned to the previous state when you uninstall the XBMC Launcher.
